From January 31 to February 8, hundreds of athletes will pour into the Capitale-Nationale region to participate in a range of sports competitions. An atmosphere of great excitement will be sure to pervade our region during this festive period.   

Quebec City will host nine days of exciting sports competitions during the Quebec City Winter Carnival, the biggest winter carnival in the world!

Nine sports on the program, 40 sports competitions, and hundrends of master athletes.

From January 30th to February 15th, 2015, the Québec Winter Carnival invites you to come discover Bonhomme’s Winterland. This theme will allow all visitors to immerse themselves in the fantastic world of the most popular snowman in town! The Plains of Abraham will become a true winter theme park, where everything was thought out to marvel both young and old, including the layout of the site, the artistic storyboarding and the original carnival activities specially designed for the occasion.

Inaugurated on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013 in the occasion of celebrations of the 350th anniversary of the parish of Notre-Dame de Quebec, the Holy Door located at the Mother Church, premarital seat of the Catholic Church in Canada, will be open throughout the jubilee year to December 28, 2014 then it will only open in 50 years, for the 400th anniversary of the first Catholic parish in North America in 2063.
