This B and B was clean and comfortable. There was an additional $6.00 fee if you wanted the breakfast. The owner was very knowledgable about getting around in his city and gave many restaurant recommendations.

Auberge Aux deux Lions was easy to find. We were greeted warmly by our host despite our arriving in the morning instead of in the afternoon. He immediately helped us to park and then offfered us an upgraded room at no extra cost as one happened to be available! Wow. We were impressed. He gave us loads of good tips including one about a revolving rooftop restaurant in Quebec. Although the Auberge Aux deux Lions is not right in the old town, it's an easy (10 mins) walk away. In the evenings after a day's sightseeing there are some much nearer (2 mins) local, non touristy eating places which are much better to go to than the busy ones in the centre. It's also near the fantastic park (Plains of Abraham) - great for a relaxed walk before supper. Our friendly host didn't mind at all that we declined to have the breakfast (on offer at extra cost, but sounded nice and was only $6), and we made full use of the small kitchenette for our own breakfast - it had tea & coffee, a fridge & a small microwave. Great for snacks or a light meal during the day too. The room was very nice, light, quiet & with wifi which worked well. The bed was comfortable. The outlook was onto a yard/parking area but it was leafy & not all all unpleasant.
Our only regret was that the nearby opera house was not showing anything while we were there! It was only a few paces away.
Jean Francois, the host, is committed to giving great service to all his guests. His business is family run and if you treat him & his property with politeness & respect you will be very well rewarded with a comfortable, good value stay & super memories of Quebec, as we were. Thank you Jean Francois!

We stumbled on this auberge by accident and we are very happy that we did. The owner, Jean-Francois, was very gracious, friendly, and helpful. He gave us directions to great restaurants and site seeing and advised about fun activities in the area. Breakfast was enjoyable to sit and talk with Jean-Francois as well as with other patrons. His inn was a little off the beaten path so there were fewer tourists around. Only a 15-20 minute walk to Old Town.

Beautiful inn and wonderful host!”

We loved our stay at the Auberge Aux deux Lions in the beautiful city of Quebec. This inn is located very close to the wonderful shops and restaurants on Rue Cartier and only a 10 minute walk to old Quebec. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed Quebec City. It is an amazing city and the people were very friendly even though we are unable to speak French.
We were fortunate to be able to stay in the top suite of the inn which was beautifully decorated. The suite was really large with a kitchen, a living room area and a lovely bathroom with a big bathtub. The bed was very comfortable with a cosy duvet and wonderful sheets. The entire inn is immaculate and perfectly maintained.
We didn't have the continental breakfast but the breakfast room looked warm and inviting. There is a kitchen area provided for the guests with a pop machine. There is also a deck where guests can relax and enjoy a glass of wine. Parking is available in the back for a fee.
Jean-Francois is a warm, helpful, fun, interesting, thoughtful and kind host. He makes this inn sparkle with his energy and enthusiasm.
We regret that we only had one night to enjoy this inn but plan a longer visit in the future.
Thanks, Jean-Francois, for taking such good care of us and providing us with such a lovely place to stay! We'll be back!
